Christmas Tree, as promised!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Our family all met at my sisters, with me cooking the turkey for the 1st time! Yikes! It turned out great and we had enough food to feed an army. The kids have been out of school this week, so, we got the Christmas stuff out on Tuesday. I said I would post pictures of my tree, so here it is! Hope to get some stamping done later.

And here is a close up of the top, which is not through, I have to get some ting ting, but, wanted to go ahead and post a picture. It's different and we love it.Thanks for coming by to visit!

Can't wait for Christmas!

I can't wait to get my tree out! I am later than usual. I have a safari theme tree, and I made this ornament to add to it this year.

There is a great tutorial on SCS for how to do this.

I used Zoofari and a snow writer to make the zebra white. Added feathers and some bows, and here you are!

I love how it turned out. Will post picture of tree later.

Thanks!

Origami Box

Made this box with some paper I bought at Hobby Lobby. It is very hard to do with cardstock - since it is so thick. Here is a video tutorial that I followed:
It's a great visual for those of us who need it.

Sketch Challenge

This was done for the sketch challenge found here:

I colored it in with markers, and used a paper clip for the hanger. Ribbon is wired which helps it keep it's shape. I love brown with blue, pink and green. Not traditional christmas colors, but, I like it.

Recent Cards that I Have Made

Here are some pics of recent cards that I have done. I don't always have time to post, but I try to make time to stamp. The bow was made using DSP from last year, and the tutorial is on SplitCoastStampers.com. Here is the link: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/paperbow.php

Stalker Challenge

I did this card for the Stalker Challenge over on Splitcoaststampers.com. I have been a lurker if you wanna call it that for a while, and love doing the challenges. I love getting comments on my cards, so have challenged myself to make more comments to others. The challenge was to make a Thank You card to have on hand for use in a hurry. I need to have more on hand, so, the challenge came as a blessing. I made it using my favorite colors right now....more mustard, ruby red, and for a twist used wild wasabi. I am pleased with how it turned out. Made fake brads (just holes punched to show cardstock underneath) according to Faith (Markies Mom). Added ribbon "leaves". Thanks for looking.
